Anthony, NM – Three Anthony teenagers have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, robbery, arson and other charges in the death of a 20-year-old San Antonio man who was killed at a rest stop along New Mexico's border with Texas.
Nineteen-year-old Jorge Murillo and 15-year-old Javier Orozco were arraigned Monday in the Jan. 5 death and robbery of Adam Espinoza.
Seventeen-year-old Irvin Ramirez, who is accused of shooting Espinoza four times with a .22-caliber rifle, waived arraignment and a judge entered a not guilty plea for him.
Authorities say Espinoza was shot and placed in the trunk of his own vehicle, which was moved to an arroyo and lit on fire.
If convicted, the three face life in prison.
