Spaceport Review

Las Cruces – Gov. Susana Martinez has appointed a six-member team to review operations, financing and contracts at the New Mexico spaceport.

The governor's office said Thursday the new administration is reviewing all aspects of the state budget "to ensure the best and most prudent use of taxpayer money."

Members include:

Chairman Sherman McCorkle, president and chief executive, SS&TP Development Corporation.

Christine Anderson, Director of Requirements at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Former Gov. Garrey Carruthers.

Former astronaut Sid Gutierrez, former manager of initiatives at Sandia National Laboratories.

Tom Hutchinson, retired Naval aviator who owns La Posta restaurant in Mesilla, N.M.

Dan Keeling, CPA and vice president of internal audit at Sun Healthcare Group.
