Las Cruces, NM – Anthony Mora is a Professor of History and Latino Studies at the University of Michigan. As a New Mexico native Mora's research focuses on the historical construction of race, gender and sexuality in the U.S. His book, Border Dilemmas explores the ways that racial and national ideologies influenced the meaning of Mexican identity along the 19th century U.S Mexico border. Mora is also a part of an Immigration Speaker Series at New Mexico State University that takes a transnational look at immigration.
