Cases of Rabies Reminds Residents to Vaccinate Pets

Las Cruces, NM – A skunk in Lea County and a bat in Dona Ana County, tested positive for rabies according to health officials. The bat exposed two unvaccinated cats to the disease which now have to be euthanized. Health officials are now warning residents to vaccinate their animals and to be on the look out for wild animals with the disease.
