Las Cruces – One of the most acclaimed violinists of his generation, Stefan Jackiw, returns for his second appearance with the Las Cruces Symphony this weekend, performing two concerts in Las Cruces and one in Silver City with Lonnie Klein conducting. Hailed by the Washington Post as having "talent that's off the scale," Jackiw -- still in his mid-20s -- has performed with the major orchestras of the United States and Europe. In December 2009, he and Klein were interviewed by Intermezzo host Leora Zeitlin; Jackiw discusses his illustrious Korean grandfather, the Sibelius Violin Concerto, and music by Mozart.
