Thursday Robbery May Be Liinked To Three Others

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police are investigating the Thursday morning robbery at a Telshor Boulevard Pic Quik store that may involve the same suspect from three other incidents.

Shortly before 1:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, police were called to the Pic Quik store at 1770 S. Telshor Blvd. Officers learned that a man entered the store, forced the clerk into a bathroom and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was described as a black male, around 25 years old, short, thin, with curly hair. The suspect may have been driving a small, gold color four-door car. He was last seen driving westbound on Missouri Avenue.

Police believe this may be the same suspect who was reported to be acting suspiciously at two other stores earlier in the morning. Shortly before 1:30 a.m. today, employees at the Walgreens store at 3100 N. Main St. called police when a man was seeing displaying unusual behavior at the store. And, just a few minutes later, police were called to the Pic Quik store at 2001 Bataan Memorial West where a similar incident was reported.

Just two weeks ago, on Thursday, Dec. 3, a robbery was reported at the Pic Quik at 2001 Bataan Memorial West. The suspect description in that robbery is the same as in this morning's three incidents.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 526-8000 or outside the Las Cruces area at 1-800-897-2746.
