Las Cruces, NM – Sorg who represents District five in Las Cruces will begin a new initiative called "Councillor on the Corner."
Sorg will set up station at a high traffic area in his district where he can meet one-on-one with residents.
He says the idea came from Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' initative and hopes to reach those who can't make it to neighborhood meetings or are busy.
Sorg-"I was thinking over the last 4 or 5 months how I could communicate with my constituents better. I do emails a lot and I take a few phone calls here and there, but that's kind of a one-on-one and that's alright but I would like to get people together to talk about common problems and concerns and answer questions they may have."
Sorg's "Councillor on the Corner" will be this Saturday March 26th from ten in the morning until noon at the Walgreens on North Main and Triviz.
