Several factors contribute to the elderly not getting adequate nutrition. (Part 3)
By Bob Mitchell
Las Cruces, NM – In February 2003, the Center on Hunger and Poverty at Brandeis University published a report in which researchers found that several factors contribute to the problem of the elderly in the U.S. not getting adequate nutrition. The high cost of health care, a lack of resources, social isolation and the inability to acquire, prepare or eat food without assistance are some of the factors. Bob Mitchell has this third part of a series on hunger in Dona Ana County.
