Senate Unlikely to Change Lottery Scholarship

Las Cruces, NM – When the legislative session began two months ago, many Senate Democrats were on board to relax restrictions on the Lottery Scholarship. They pointed to a $51-million reserve that had built up in the scholarship's coffers, saying there was enough room to expand eligibility. But as Katie Goetz reports, despite the seemingly strong support, no action has been taken on the measure.
