By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect or suspects who beat a man and took his cell phone nearly two weeks ago.

Las Cruces Police detectives learned that at around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, the 30-year-old victim was walking along the 1600 block of north Alameda Boulevard when he was approached by a man who asked to borrow a cell phone.

The victim told detectives he handed over the cell phone and the next thing he remembered was waking up in an El Paso hospital with a fractured skull.

The victim described the primary suspect as a short, Hispanic man with a light complexion. The victim believes the suspect was accompanied by two other men but their descriptions are unknown.

If you have any information on the identity of the suspects you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).

The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
