Reward For Jewelry Theft Suspect

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the woman involved in Friday's theft of an expensive piece of jewelry from a local gallery.

Shortly after 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, Las Cruces Police were called to Glenn Cutter Jewelers and Gallery in the Arroyo Plaza, 2001 east Lohman Ave., after a woman took a yellow diamond bracelet from the store without paying. Witnesses said the woman ran around the store and into the arroyo behind the plaza. She was last seen heading toward San Juan Avenue.

The woman is described as possibly Hispanic and having long, dark hair. She was wearing dark blue jeans and a bright pink shirt.
