Proposed White Sands Designation Sparks Debate

Las Cruces, NM – White Sands National Monument is on the list of proposed sites to be placed on United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's, or UNESCO's World Heritage List. The designation goes to sites considered cultural and natural treasures to humanity. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, a debate has ensued as to whether White Sands should remain on the proposed list.
