Las Cruces, NM – Last week the metal mining-giant Phelps Dodge leveled an obsolete smokestack near Playas, just north of the United States/ Mexico border. The Smokestack was part of a Phelps Dodge copper smelter which closed five years ago. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, thanks to a recent ruling the company will now demolish two more smokestacks in Hurley, New Mexico.
