NMSU: No New Updates Regarding Safety Warning For Possible Armed Subject

According to the NMSU Website, there are no new updates regarding the  “urgent safety advisory,” issued last Friday for a possible armed subject near the N.M.S.U. campus.  Authorities are still searching for the subject who is said to be upset with the university and university police.

Law enforcement is looking for Jonathan Havstad, 34. He is described as  6'1" 215- pounds with blue eyes. 

University Officials have said that the subject may be attempting to obtain a gun and has made statement that he was going to shoot people.

Urgent Safety Advisory Issued By NMSU:

Safety advisory for a possible armed subject near the N.M.S.U. campus. Jonathan Havstad 34 yrs white male 6'1" 215 lbs blu eyes. May be in a 2011 red Scion 2 dr bearing NM plate LRJ144. He is upset with N.M.S.U. and the N.M.S.U. police. He may be attempting to obtain a gun and has made statement that he was going to shoot people.
