Las Cruces – Almost seven months after a woman's mummified body was found in a shallow cave near Organ, N.M., the state Office of the Medical Investigator has released its autopsy findings.
But the cause of death remains undetermined.
The Las Cruces Sun-News says 46-year-old Robin Colts was reported missing Feb. 15 from her family's home. Deborah Vincenti says her sister walked away in her pajamas, without her shoes or medication.
The autopsy says medical examiners could determine little about what happened to Colts in the three months between her disappearance and the discovery of her body.
Dona Ana County Sheriff's Sgt. Joe Reynaud says there's no evidence to support a homicide, but he says the case is far from closed.
