Las Cruces Shooting

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police are investigating a Sunday evening shooting that sent one man to the hospital with two gunshot wounds.
Shortly before 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, police were called to the Pic Quik store at 4675 north Sonoma Ranch Boulevard where witnesses reported seeing shots fired from a vehicle and the possibility of at least one victim. Officers arrived and found blood and shell casings in the parking lot.
Officers then were dispatched to Mountain View Regional Medical Center where friends had taken a 21-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds. The victim was later airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
LCPD detectives are following several leads and are continuing to investigate this incident.
