Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the man suspected of stealing a vehicle in May from the parking lot of the Mesilla Valley Mall.
Investigators learned that on Tuesday, May 15, a white 2015 Kia Optima LX was stolen from the parking lot near the J.C. Penney store at the Mesilla Valley Mall. Las Cruces police investigators believe the vehicle was stolen at about 4 p.m. that day. It has yet to be located.
The white 2015 Kia Optima has New Mexico license plate 194RNX.
The suspect is believed to be a young man who was seen walking through the J.C. Penney store shortly before the vehicle was stolen. The young man was seen wearing a dark-color, sleeveless shirt and shorts.
Anyone with information that can help identify the suspect, or anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stolen Kia Optima, is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be provided through the Las Cruces Crime Stoppers app. “P3 TIPS.” The app is available through the App Store on most devices.
Those who provide tips through Crime Stoppers do not have to leave their own name and can remain completely anonymous.
