Las Cruces Considering Liquor Licensing as a Legislative Priority

The City of Las Cruces is holding a Public Input Meeting to discuss a resolution concerning the sale, transfer and issuance of liquor licenses in New Mexico. The public input meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 11 at Las Cruces City Hall (700 N. Main Street), conference rooms 2007 B & C.

The City is asking residents for input on liquor licensing in the State of New Mexico and a draft resolution which, as written, supports a proposed New Mexico State Bill allowing New Mexico-produced spirits to be sold at establishments licensed to serve beer and wine.

The draft resolution and public input will be taken to City Council at a Work Session on Monday, October 22,then is expected to be presented to City Council on Monday, November 19 at a regular City Council meeting.
