Las Cruces Coffee with a Cop and Ident-A-Child Event Planned for Saturday

The Las Cruces Police Department is teaming with the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office and the Ronald McDonald House of El Paso to host a free Coffee with a Cop and Ident-A-Child event Saturday at Washington Federal bank.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Washington Federal bank at 1800 S. Telshor Blvd. The event is free. Las Cruces residents are encouraged to attend the event, meet local officers and discuss any law enforcement concerns they may have.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their children for a free Ident-A-child card that includes a photo, fingerprints and other identifiable information that can be used in the case of an emergency.

Free coffee will be served throughout the event. LCPD will also have its Mobile Command Center in the parking lot and personnel from the Victims’ Assistance Unit who can answer questions on the services they provide.
