Las Cruces Armed Robbery

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the three men responsible for an armed robbery that was committed early Monday morning.

At around 2 a.m. on Monday, May 31, Las Cruces Police were called to a report of an armed robbery at an apartment on the 500 block of west Griggs Avenue. Officers learned that three men - two of whom were armed with handguns - entered the apartment and ordered the residents to empty their pockets.

The suspects then forced the victims into a bathroom and took a large, flat-screen television, a computer and a shotgun. The victims were frightened but otherwise uninjured.

The suspects were described as two black men and one Hispanic, and they were said to have left the area in a dark blue, 1990's model, four-door Cadillac DeVille.

One of the black men was said to be around 19- to 20-years old, 6-feet tall, skinny with short hair and a case of acne. The second black man was around the same age, 5-feet-8-inches tall, skinny with dreadlocks. The Hispanic suspect was said to be young, possibly 5-feet-4-inches tall with short hair and light-colored eyes.

If you have any information on this armed robbery, or the suspects who were involved in committing it, you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).
