Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police Chief Richard Williams will announce a new community policing initiative at a news conference scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, July 29.
The news conference will be held at the flood control channel on the east side of 2100 N. Main St., near the Shamrock gas station and just north of Jack Key Motors.
Las Cruces City Councilors and representatives from other city departments participating in the anti-crime initiative also are expected to be in attendance at Friday's news conference.
