Hearings Continue On Voter Identifications

Las Cruces, NM – Last Monday State District Judge Robert Thompson issued a temporary order requiring first time voters to present a form of identification, if they registered outside a County Clerks Office. His Decision is based on a law ratified on 2003, and signed by Governor Richardson. Democrats say the law signed last year only mentioned new voters who registered via mail.
