Four Charged In Abduction And Murder

By KRWG News

El Paso – Four men have been charged with aggravated kidnapping charges in the September 2009 abduction of an El Paso-area man later found dismembered on a Mexican street.

Brothers Omar and Cesar Obregon, both 21, are jailed in the kidnapping of Sergio Saucedo. Still on the loose are 26-year-old Rafael Vega and Ricardo Puentes Morales, whose age is uncertain.

El Paso County sheriff's spokesman Jesse Tovar said Thursday that Puentes is believed to be the mastermind. He says the Obregons were arrested Tuesday by U.S. Border Patrol agents who spotted them trying to break into a house.

The Obregons are in El Paso County Jail with bonds set at $250,000 each.

Saucedo, who was 30, was kidnapped from his Horizon City house outside El Paso. His mutilated body was found days later across the Rio Grande in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
