Doña Ana County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two peopleWednesday after they followed shoe impressions from a burglarized home to the home where the suspects were located.

Just after 10 a.m. Jan. 29, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the 6400 block of Evon Lane on the East Mesa. Deputies followed footprints from Evon Lane to a residence in the 8900 block of Arroyo Lane.

Deputies encountered Aracely Arcos, 26, and German Calderon Marioni, 28. The two gave consent for deputies to search the home, where items taken from the house on Evon Lane were located.

Both Arcos and Marioni were arrested and transported to the Doña Ana County Detention Center on charges of burglary of a dwelling, conspiracy to commit a third-degree felony, tampering with evidence and criminal trespass. Their secured bonds were set at $10,000 each.
