An El Paso man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison in the stabbing death of a 21-year-old man.
The jury deliberated two hours Friday before sentencing 26-year-old Samuel Perez.
He was found guilty of murder Thursday in the 2012 death of Cameron Canada.
Prosecutors said Perez stabbed Canada twice in the chest during the fight that started outside a house party.
Perez' attorney, Leonard Morales, told the court he will appeal.
