DREAM Act Supporters Rally for Support on NMSU Campus

Las Cruces, NM – An attempt to introduce the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors or DREAM Act as an amendment to the Defense Appropriations Bill was recently blocked in the United States Senate. Las Cruces residents along with New Mexico State University staff and students held a march and rally last week on the NMSU campus in order to raise awareness of the DREAM Act. As KRWG's Nazca Warren reports, participants offered personal testimonies and urged audience members to call their elected officials so the bill can be introduced as a stand-alone bill.
