Las Cruces, NM – Cowboys for Cancer Research, a local non-profit organization has worked to raise awareness about cancer. The group's first annual event was held in 1982 since then the group has used team-roping competitions to raise money for research. This year, Cowboys for Cancer Research annual event is scheduled for October 10th through the 12th. The 3-day event includes team roping competitions and the Boots and Bling dinner and dance.
