Border Patrol Reunites Teen With Family

By KRWG News

Santa Teresa – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers along the U.S.-Mexico border in Santa Teresa helped reunite a mentally challenged teen with his family this week.
The officers encountered the boy Tuesday as he rode on a bicycle across the border alone.
They say he could not explain who he was or where his parents were and he had no identification.
Ana Hinojosa is director of field operations in El Paso for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. She says officers went the extra mile to care for the boy and quickly reunite him with his family.
The next day, Mexican authorities identified the boy as being a 15-year-old who was reported missing by his mother in Juarez, Mexico.
The boy was turned over to Mexican authorities, who reunited him with his mother.
