Bingaman To Speak About Green Jobs In Las Cruces

Las Cruces, NM – Senator Bingaman who chairs the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the event called the Green Jobs Forum.

The event brings together employers, educational institutions and workers to discuss creating and expanding the green workforce.

During the event results of a state-wide green jobs survey will be released. Several educators from New Mexico State University and Eastern New Mexico University will be on hand to talk about training and educational opportunities.

Representatives from green energy companies such as Eldorado Biofuels and Positive Energy will be discussing current green job openings as well as future jobs.

The event is from ten-thirty this morning until four-thirty this evening at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum 4100 Dripping Springs Road. The Green Jobs Forum is free, for more information call 646.5265.
