Albuquerque Mayor to Run for U.S. Senate

Las Cruces, NM – Tuesday morning Albuquerque Mayor Martin Chavez announced he will run for the United States Senate seat left open by retiring Senator Pete Domenici. The Democrat is currently serving his third term as mayor of the states largest city. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, Chavez says he is running because the 2008 election is pivotal to the future of New Mexico and the nation.
