Las Cruces, NM – Tuesday, the National Office of the American Civil Liberties Union or ACLU, along with the ACLU of New Mexico filed a Federal lawsuit on the behalf of several Presidential protesters -- who claim their right to free speech was violated during President Bush's visit to the Albuquerque area in August. At the time, the President was attending a fundraiser for Senator Pete Domenici at the home of Los Ranchos Mayor Larry Abraham.
As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, the plaintiffs claim they were forced by local authorities to stand more than 150 yards from Abraham's home while a group of Bush supporters were allowed within feet of the President's motorcade.
