Las Cruces, NM – While Las Cruces is offering a $25,000 reward for information on the extortion threats the City has received, the Sun-News has announced the letter they received sets Friday as the deadline before threatened random shootings would start. Most concerning was the stipulation that unless the City pays up, Las Crucens could be shot at random. The committee is made up of both State Senators and Representatives, was briefed on the implementation requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005. Las Cruces, NM – Las Cruces Officials are saying the City has received extortion threats and if the money is not paid, the threats include shooting residents at random.

Five consultants were brought in to evaluate the shelter to determine whether the facility is at national standards. The Dona Ana County Humane Society is not in any violation.
