Sun News Announces Friday Extortion Deadline- City Stays Mum

Las Cruces, NM – While Las Cruces is offering a $25,000 reward for information on the extortion threats the City has received, the Sun-News has announced the letter they received sets Friday as the deadline before threatened random shootings would start. As KRWG's Jodi Breisler reports, Police have distributed photocopies of the second threat letter, but aren't giving out much more information.

New Mexico Courts, Corrections and Justice Committe Hold Forum on REAL ID

Las Cruces, NM – Last week the New Mexico Courts, Corrections and Justice Committee held public forums on the campus of New Mexico State University. The committee is made up of both State Senators and Representatives, was briefed on the implementation requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005.
