THIS LEGISLATION WOULD MAKE IT MANDATORY FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO BE NOTIFIED IF A STUDENT A VIOLENT CRIME.

State Senator Leonard Lee Rawson is sponsoring senate bill 204, which would eliminate the gross receipts tax currently charged for hosting events at the Pan American Center. 1/10/07 – An informational public meeting was held in Las Cruces city hall yesterday/Tuesday to clear up confusion regarding the city's franchise agreement with El Paso Electric. In June, the electric utility company asked the Public Regulation Commission for an 18% rate increase for the citizens of Las Cruces. as KRWG's Amanda Grube reports, the city is planning an intervention with the PRC to fight the rate increase.

If the merger goes through, the two would create the world's largest publicly traded copper company.
