Las Cruces, NM – This Tuesday registered Republican Voters will choose, amongst five candidates, who they believe should fill New Mexico's Second Congressional District. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, all five are vying for the seat vacated by U.S. Representative Steve Pearce who is running for the U.S. Senate.

Las Cruces, NM – In 2004, Dona Ana County was ranked third in the state for teenage pregnancies, according to the teen pregnancy coalition. Since then, the birth rate among teenagers in the county has been on the decline. KRWG's Sarina Turnbull has this report.

Las Cruces, NM – Voters in New Mexico head to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in the state's primary election. Democratic voters in the states 2nd Congressional District will decide who gets to represent their party in November; and try and win back a seat held by Republicans since 1982. Las Cruces, NM – Wednesday, Dona Ana County Commissioners approved a resolution announcing their plan to ask voters to consider passing a mil levy on property owners which would fund the construction of a judicial complex. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, according to county officials a surge in population has created the need for a new courthouse.

Las Cruces, NM – This morning, the Dona Ana County Legal Department held a public hearing in Las Cruces to discuss the creation of a Tax Development District with Sierra County. The agreement is needed under state law to begin collecting money from a gross receipts tax approved to help fund Spaceport America. KRWG's Marco Grajeda has this report.

Las Cruces, NM – This week, New Mexico Voices for Children, a non-partisan advocacy group, announced an analysis of the State Legislative Finance Committee's 2008 Post Session Review.
